Volunteer jobs

In the beginning of 2007 we started to look at the possibilities of offering volunteer work.

In that year we learned a lot from the experiences and because of that we decided to improve the options in 2008.

One of the main goals stil is: "An exchange of cultures, ideas and opinions". Just talking with the locals about the life in other countries to give them an idea about other ways of living, is in our opinion already a step ahead. Most people here don't have an idea about other cultures and we want to bring them in touch with these cultures. This way they can learn something from the volunteer and the volunteer learns something from them.

Possibilities:

Proyecto Yannick: Teaching english (or something else) or specialist help

Help out at a small school for handicapped children

Help out in Naranja Mecánica

Temporary Projects

Depending on the wishes of the volunteer and the hours available, it's posible to make a combination of different options.

We prefer a volunteer to stay at least a month. Teaching for Proyecto Yannick is only possible if you stay a minimum of a month. The experience however is that for the children/students as well as for the volunteer it works out better to stay a longer time. That way better results can be made and more contact between the children/students and the volunteer is possible.

We want to help out the city where we live and we want to offer the volunteer the same opportunity, so we kept the costs as low as possible. Take a look at the Prices for more information.

It's possible to work parttime and take spanish lessons the other part of the time. For more information take a look at Spanish lessons.

We also offer the possibility to stay with a local family for a low price. That way you can be a part of the Peruvian every day life and practice your Spanish at the same time. For more information take a look at Staying with a local family.

And if you prefer to live independent, we offer the option of a room with the use of bathroom and kitchen.
