Helping out at a school for handicapped children
It's a small school where the teachers don't have enough experience nor time to educate the children well.
They teach children and sometimes also adults with various kinds of handicaps: deaf, blind, Down Syndrome etc.
There is not enough knowledge and the material to teach is very basic, but they try to keep the children busy and teach them some basic skills.
They can use volunteers to give one or more of the children special attention for a while. If you are educated in this area, they even need you even more! They are ready and willing to learn from someone with experience in this field.
The classes take place from Monday till Fridaymorning.
Volunteer Marthe helped a lot improving and painting the wall around the school. Students designed the paintings.
