Just a block and a half away from the Plaza de Armas you can find the small Celendín Museum in San Martín. It's not an official museum yet, but a personal collection. The owner can tell you hours about his adventures walking every cm of the Celendín province. He is very friendly, knows a lot and really loves the archeology and history of Celendín. The museum doesn't have official opening hours yet, but when the doors are open, you are allways welcome to take a look around. Or if you knock on the door and the owner has some time, he will also let you in.
